FAQ

What is Boudoir Photography? (FAQ)
Don’t know what to buy for your loved one? Do you need to remind yourself that you still got it? Or maybe you want to celebrate your newly toned body after a marathon? Boudoir photography is more about what you can’t see versus showing everything you got. Boudoir photos tend to resemble sexy lingerie ads, so you’d also feel comfortable showing them to your best girlfriend. They also can include high concept shoots like what you might view in fashion magazines.

A boudoir session is a wonderful gift to your self-esteem no matter what shape you come in. As women, we tend to beat ourselves up over our body’s imperfections. Women leave the boudoir session feeling like a million bucks because they can immediately view photos from our cameras and like what they see. Boudoir photography is all about posing, lighting, camera angles, and photographers who make you feel comfortable.

FAQ

1.) What should I wear?

A: Bring at least 3 of the following: outfits, pairs of high-heel shoes/boots and jewelry ensembles. Additional accessories like feathers, men’s ties, fans are optional but always appreciated. The higher the heel, the better your legs and backside will look. Feel free to be creative with your choices. Past brides have worn their fiance’s pilot uniforms, favorite sport jerseys, groom’s tie, husband’s doctor coat, workout clothes, see-through t-shirts, etc…

2.) Should I get my make-up and hair done?

A: Yes, we encourage at least make-up and false lashes being done by a professional. The transformation will make you feel more confident and glamorous. Hair can range from big and messy to retro glam. If you need help in finding/booking a stylist, please let us know.
Also, for the packages which do include hair and makeup, our fabulous stylist provides false lashes (in many sizes to fit your shape) as well as hair products for obtaining the perfect coif.

3.) What happens after the shoot?

A: You will receive an e-mail with the link to a password-protected proofing gallery within 2 weeks after the shoot. Choose 20-30 of your favorites and these will be retouched and designed for the Little Black Book. Upon your approval of the design, the album will go to print and you will receive it within 2 weeks of its submission.

4.) How does the retouching process work?

A: All blemishes, skin texture issues, etc…will be erased. You’ll still look like you, only better.

5.) Are you going to blog my photos online?

A: We will like to blog and show one interested photo on Facebook. No, unless you provide in writing that it is ok. This is explained in the contract we all sign.

6.) What’s a custom shoot concept?

A: Want us to work with you to create a custom shoot concept like the ones you see in magazines? We will ask your initial thoughts on what you might like and then create a concept board, which will include location details, lighting set-ups, props, and colors for you to approve. This is a great idea for the woman who has always wanted to be a supermodel for a day. If you’re interested in adding this to your shoot, just let us know.

7.) Will there be food and beverages provided?

A: Munchies, champagne and water will be provided.

8.) This all sounds great, what do I do to book a session?

A: Tell us you are interested and we will email you brochure with the collection pretaining the pricing of each collections. We will send you a proposal and contract for you to sign electronically. Once we receive your $100 deposit via paypal, then your booking date will be confirmed. If you have any questions, feel free to contact at info@courtneyjeffersonphotography.com
